Personal Trainer About EPE

EPE Training Systems is based on the principle that strength & conditioning  training is an individualized process as discussed in Vladimir Zatsiorsky’s  “Science and Practice of Strength Training” - one of the most revered books in the history of fitness.

Who trains at EPE?

  • You are 60, and haven’t exercised in years, and want to improve your general health.
  • Or maybe you are 36, and you want to get back the strength and physique you had ten years ago, before your job pulled you down that slippery slope.
  • Perhaps you are a teenager who wants to excel in your chosen sport, and you need to increase your strength, speed, and rate of force development.
  • Or you could be a female who is interested in stepping onto the stage in a fitness or physique contest.
  • Then again, maybe you’re looking to enter into the powerlifting realm, and be the next 700-pound bench presser.
  • Or……

A truly effective fitness environment will not promote a “one size fits all” exercise regimen. Every trainee is an individual who comes with their own set of goals, along with their own set of strengths and challenges. 

Personal Training Line

Here at EPE Training Systems, I use several different “types” of fitness approaches:

High Intensity Anaerobic Glycolytic Conditioning: This is a state-of-the-art way to burn fat. You can even maintain an elevated metabolism more than 36 hours after the training session.

Muscular Hypertrophy/Bodybuilding: This is characterized by higher repetitions and shorter rest periods. Professional bodybuilding training techniques are used like drop sets, cluster sets and negative training.

Aerobic Endurance: This has long been a standard for fat loss and general health. The heart-strengthening affects are well documented. Aerobic capacity plays a critical role in most sports and serves as an excellent means of “active recovery” from more strenuous forms of training.

Strength Training: This is the basis for any fitness regimen. For whatever aspect of fitness a trainee desires, developing a base of strength is integral. It is probably the most desired “stand alone” fitness goal for all trainees, especially powerlifting enthusiasts.

Metabolic Weight Training: A three to four week focus is just what the doctor ordered to bring up your endurance and “work capacity”. One of the great benefits of metabolic weight training is that it allows you to pursue other training goals with greater intensity and drive - and burn calories fast!

Nutrition and Supplementation Guidance: We will figure out what you are doing right and wrong regarding your diet and general nutrition.
